“You are all that’s left of humanity. You… are all the pieces of my soul.”

— The Scientist

what happened to this movie?  it just kinda dropped off the face of the planet…

It’s really hard to find anything official on it anymore. A sequel has been planned, but since the film received such mixed reactions, whether or not we’ll get it at this point is questionable — despite the fact it did relatively well at the box office. Which is a shame, because it’s a lot better than people give it credit for and generally takes multiple viewings to fully appreciate.

Either way, the fandom is still going strong! Three years in, and I don’t think any of us can rightly say that we’ve lost interest in it. It’s a big, creative universe that leaves so much room for exploration and expansion~ c:

*watching 5 in the third panel as he saves 1’s ass* YES STILL CAN’T BELIEVE I DIDN’T EVER NOTICE THAT PART!

No sacrifice, no victory.

Putting this back up because I just remembered how adorable 9 is when he laughs at the end~ That’s the part of him I wish more people would pay attention to and build upon—the part that can make the best of a bad situation, and try to cheer his friends up when they’re down or frightened. He made a terrible mistake early in the film, but that’s not all that 9 is—he has a great personality that should have had more time to develop, and I wish more people would focus on that rather than hang on his errors.

…You know what I’m wondering now that I watch the last panal is..just WHAT did 1 put his foot on at first when climbing up 9? You can’t see it because it’s out of the shot, but I know there’s no foothold or foothold type object on 9 below his waist…is there? OO

…I didn’t even think of that. Um. Wow. O_o That’s… yeah, I wonder… Maybe it was 9’s knee…? Would 9 have been able to hold his knee up while 1 pushed against it…? I’m not sure… um… huh. Interesting…

The Fabrication Machine.

If you look very closely at the Winged Beast, you can see that Fabby didn’t actually use that skeleton for anything…

… heh. Lol, he didn’t.

She was just doing a little spring cleaning, is all~ XD

Laid to rest.

(Is it weird that I think this is the most colourful/saturated scene in the movie??)

The watchtower scene was also pretty saturated, but I think this one stands out because it takes on a completely different tone than the rest of the film color-wise. It’s the only time we see any body of water in the whole movie, and the way the light reflects off of it just makes it seem so surreal and dream-like.

Would it be a stretch to say that I think the presence of water in this scene could be foreshadowing?
